El Machismo Mata | 3/4 Sleeve Shirt

$26.95

I lived in Spain for almost two years and learned a lot about the cultural heritage of my own country of birth, Argentina. What caught my attention was the similarities between these two countries on the understanding of masculinity. Catholic church and Spanish traditions like bullfighting are still very important aspects of the identity of Spanish people and as a result of that, you can face misogynist shit in the streets like catcalls and mansplaining among the most frequent. It’s very interesting to learn what is behind of all that horrible killing of bulls: people learned for decades that a brave man is a killer. Fortunately, there is also a huge feminist force fighting and giving an example of union too and things seem to be changing there, strongly and consistently, as part of this world revolution that we are facing. I truly believe that the passion this people have will transform Spain into a more equal nation.
